Our story
Two people, one marketing team, one long argument.
Marc and Vassilis first met at Canada's largest sports retailer. Marc ran social media, Vassilis ran digital marketing, and the two worked side by side across campaign after campaign.
The playbooks they ran came from industry experts and carried the label of digital best practice. They worked. The retailer posted record results.
What stayed with them wasn't the results. It was the questions underneath them. Those became years of conversation about marketing and innovation, and about how much either of them still didn't know.
The ambition to be better marketers is what finally turned those conversations into a podcast. The Sleeping Barber is Marc and V learning from the people who actually know, out loud.
The 8 Fundamentals
More than five years of interviewing guests and digging into topics left them with something more useful than a back catalogue. The same gaps kept surfacing in conversation after conversation, and those gaps became a framework: the 8 Fundamentals of effective marketing.
It's a guide built to help marketers ask sharper questions of the commercial team — and then get on with delivering against the strategy that comes back.
